Dear community,
It is with sadness and regret that I announce to you my resignation from the Board of Expedition LSM. Those of you who know me personally will know that I do not take this decision easily. This project has been my passion from the day I joined the MSM community 6 years ago. To see it come to early success and end this way is disappointing, to say the least. However, this action is my only recourse in dealing with the systematic and persistent failures of our Board of Directors to stay committed to a singular and unified purpose, mission and timeline. There were problems with failure of leadership, lack of transparency, hidden agendas (undisclosed agreements to groom snowmobile trails with our equipment), lack of professionalism and lack of mutual respect among directors and above all, a failure of effective communication. I attempted in vain to separate the interests of the group by dividing our administration and assets but this also failed. I attempted external mediation without success and I appealed to the municipality for assisted leadership, to no avail.
Specific issues plaguing the board will not be disclosed herein but I am willing to share them more privately at your request.
It is my understanding that the remaining Board Members including President Ronald Dubeau, Vice President Marc Foucault, secretary Mark McKendrick and member at large Eugene Lapensee, intend to provide some xc ski and snowshoeing trails but the details of this plan remain unclear as the machinery will remain parked at Ron Dubeau’s garage in the town.
For all future inquires about the trails and grooming please contact Ronald Dubeau and Marc Foucault either privately, or via Golf Lac Ste-Marie info@golfmontste-marie.com (819) 467-3111.
I apologize sincerely for disappointing a community of people who placed their faith in this organization under my leadership.
Sincerely,
Tina McInnes |
